This volume is the product of an exchange of ideas and experience between the American Academy of Neurological Surgery and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Neurochirurgie. lt contains the papers delivered at their joint meeting, covering a number of different topics in neurosurgery. Special emphasis is placed on intracranial vascular surgery and specialized neurosurgical techniques for operative approaches to the skull, brain, pituitary gland, and peripheral nerves.
